These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ride Hero website, web app, and mobile applications (together, the “Service”), operated by Ride Hero (“Ride Hero,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Ride Hero is an on-demand ride service operating in southern Utah. The Service lets riders request a ride, receive a fare estimate, track the driver in real time, communicate by in-app chat, and pay by cash or card. Rides are provided by an independent local driver, subject to availability.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and request rides. By using the Service, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Booking Rides & Cancellations

• Fare estimates are shown before you confirm a ride and may vary based on the actual route, distance, time, and the ride tier you select.
• A ride is confirmed only when the driver accepts the request.
• You may cancel a ride before or during the trip; repeated or last-minute cancellations may be subject to a fee in the future.
• Rides are subject to driver availability and may be declined.

5. Fares & Payment

• The final fare is based on the completed trip and the ride tier selected (for example, Standard, Comfort, or XL).
• Payment is due on arrival. You may pay in cash directly to the driver or by card through our payment provider (Stripe).
• Completed rides are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it.
• You are responsible for any applicable taxes, tolls, and fees.

6. User Conduct

By using the Service, you agree that you will:

• Treat the driver and the vehicle with respect, and wear a seat belt as required by law.
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to transport illegal or hazardous items.
• Not harass, threaten, or endanger the driver or others.
• Provide accurate pickup and drop-off information.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe pose a safety or fraud risk.

7. Availability & No Guarantee

Ride Hero is a small, local service. We do not guarantee that a ride will be available at any given time, that arrival times are exact, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Estimated times and routes are provided for convenience and may differ from actual conditions.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We rely on third-party mapping, routing, and address data, which may be inaccurate or incomplete.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ride Hero will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the ride giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ride Hero from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or any law.

11. Changes to the Service & Terms

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Service will be subject to the courts located in Utah.
