This page explains how to request deletion of your Ride Hero account and the data associated with it. Ride Hero is an on-demand ride service operating in southern Utah.
How to request deletion
To request that your account and associated data be deleted:
- Email rides@rideheroapp.com from the email address associated with your Ride Hero account.
- Use the subject line "Delete my account."
- We will verify your request and process it within 30 days, and email you to confirm once it is complete.
What data is deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we permanently remove:
- Your account and login credentials
- Your profile information (name, phone number, and profile photo)
- Your saved and recent places
- Your in-app chat messages
- Your ride history and ratings
What data may be retained
We may retain a limited record of completed trips and payments (such as fare amounts and dates) where we are required to do so for legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes. These records are kept for up to 7 years as required by law, after which they are deleted. They are not used to identify you for any other purpose.
